She was predeceased by: her parents, Columbus Wilburn and Martha Angelina Peace Pittman; her grandson Samuel Ray Vaughn, II; and her siblings, Tolly, Steve, Sherman, Thurman, Harold, Troy Pittman, Thelma Bird, Alta Atkins, Heddie Hughes, Pauline Bryant and Alma Horton.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel Vaughn of Landrum, Richard Vaughn of Athens, GA and Kay Holt (Jim) of Dayton; her grandchildren, Derek, Michelle, Crystal and Amy Garland; and her great grandchildren, Drew Vaughn, Cody Vaughn, Kaylin Vaughn, Julie Garland and Hannah Garland.
