With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vida Wham Griffin (Greenwood, South Carolina), born in Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert Dwight Griffin; her parents, Alvin Hill Wham, Sr. and Minnie Meece Wham Ayers; and her siblings, Sonny, Jimmy Wham and Gladys Jean Wham Wilson.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian Griffin (Amy) of Greenwood and Jimmy Stroud (Jan) of Simpsonville; her stepchildren, Jenny Stuckey (John) of Niceville, FL, Dwight Griffin (Denise) of Niceville, FL and Judy Griffin of Ninety Six; her siblings, John Ernest Wham (Ella) of Greenwood, George William Wham (Debbie) of Greenwood, Elizabeth "Betty" Wham Williams (Leonard Brissie) of Waterloo and Alina W. Sullivan of Greenwood; and her grandchildren, Katherine Mariani, Elizabeth Bogard (Brain), William Stuckey (Alexis), Justin Griffin (Becky), Jesi Dickinson (Jono), Elise Griffin, Nick Griffin and Parker Stroud. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
