With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Whitt Sr. (Greenwood, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roy Whitt Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cooley Whitt and Viola Dixon Whitt; and his siblings, Virginia Whitt, Martha Shirley, John Cooley Whitt and Joseph B. Whitt.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Crowe Whitt; and his children, Donna Jennings, Peggy DeLoach (Robert), Joyce Gambrell, Missy Harrison (Brad) and Roy F. "Chip" Whitt, Jr. (Robin). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel (1025 Main St S, Greenwood, SC 29646). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
