He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry William Horne and Pauline Plynie Dorn Horne; and his siblings, James, Johnnie, Rufus, Henry, Jerry, Elbert Horne and Mamie Lee Horne Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Eunice Ouzts Horne; and his children, Ed Horne, Jr. (Josie) of Greenwood, Frank Horne of Greenwood, Scot Horne (Ashley) of Greenwood, Kathy Horne Bryan of Greenwood and Tonya Horne O'Kelly of Florence. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
