He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie A. Mooney and Polly V. Smith Mooney; and his brother Gary E. Mooney. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Virginia Mooney; his sons, Dennis Mooney (Meghan) of Ashburn, VA, Michael Mooney (Dona) of Zebulon, NC and Greg Mooney (Mary) of Dazell, SC; his stepson Stuart Hawkins (Angie) of Travelers Rest; his siblings, Charles W. Mooney of Woodbridge, VA and Carolyn Smith of Greenwood; and his sister-in-law Nancy Clem of Summerville.
