With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew Ray Furlong of Greenwood, South Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 23, 2024 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Lyle Furlong and Laura Wolf Furlong; and his grandson Warren Thaddeus Wilburn. He is survived by: his children, Maren Furlong, Jordan Furlong, Jonah Furlong, Keri Wilburn (Jacob), Landon Furlong and Eli Furlong; his siblings, Michelle Youssef (Redman), Gary Furlong, Jeff Furlong (Jeannie) and Brent Furlong; his grandchildren, Waylon Wilburn, Willa-Mae Wilburn, Wrenleigh Wilburn, Sadie Ruth Furlong and Sophia Furlong; and his close friend Mark Swinnea. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
