It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Dillard Yochem (Greenwood, South Carolina), born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Larry Dillard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Larry Dillard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry D. Yochem and Ruth Summer Yochem; and his son Scott Yochem. He is survived by: his wife Betty Goldman Yochem; his daughter Amy Suit (Sidney) of Ninety; his great grandchild Mason Way; and his sisters, Linda Y. Sauerwein of Abbeville and Patsy Y. Hannah (David) of Greenwood.
