It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Lamar Timms of Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Melvin Henry Timms and Dorothy Morine Hicks Timms; and his son-in-law John Thomas Lanford II. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Jean Quattlebaum Timms; his children, Lisa Timms Lanford, Jody Timms (Penny) and Laura Falls Babb (Ray); and his granddaughter Angel Elizabeth Falls.
