Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Wayne Lindley (Greenwood, South Carolina), who passed away at the age of 56, on February 12, 2025. Though John Wayne may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Wayne touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Georgia Rose Bowick Lindley and Herbert Lee Lindley; and his siblings, James B. Lindley (Missie) of McCormick and Patty Smith (Ronny) of McCormick. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Blyth Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1425 Montague Ave, Greenwood, SC 29649). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Overbrook Cemetery.
