It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Ward of Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ward and Glenna Ward; his mother-in-law Ruby Hodges; his brothers-in-law, Charles and Ernest Harris; and his pet Droopy.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Darris Ward and Jamie Hyde (Toby); and his pet Lizzie. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and two aunts.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Coronaca Baptist Church (300 SC-246, Greenwood, SC 29649). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family will be at the home and asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646 and Greenwood Humane Society, Po Box 49776, Greenwood, SC 29649.
