He was predeceased by: his parents, Brooks Peurifoy and Sarah Proctor Peurifoy Childs; his wife Trudy McKee; his sons, Barry and Keith Peurifoy; his grandchildren, Tammie Peurifoy and Charles Ray "Chuck" Peurifoy; his great grandchildren, Michael Keith Peurifoy and Brandi Nicole Peurifoy; and his siblings, Maude Spearman, Sarah Herring, T. W. Peurifoy and Clyde Peurifoy.

He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Peurifoy (Sarah) of Greenwood and Charles Ray Peurifoy (Mary Beth) of Clemson; his sister Mabel Johnson of Elberton, GA; and his grandchildren, Brooks, Mark, Sarah Elizabeth, Tommy, Joanna, Keith and Patricia Peurifoy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harley Funeral Home (1025 Main St S, Greenwood, SC 29646). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church (772 Old Ninety Six Hwy, Greenwood, SC 29646).
