He was predeceased by: his parents, Humphrey Kay and Maggie Mae McNinch Kay; his stepfather Lawrence Davis; and his stepsister Frances Davis O'Dell. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Kay Balentine of Donalds, Kristi Kay Freeman of Ware Shoals and Dana Kay Nash (Chuck) of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Shana Paxton (Jason), Brooke Balentine Brownlee (Braden) and Katie Lee Nash Kelly (Taylor); and his great grandchildren, Ryland, Azleigh, Brecken, Cambryn Paxton, Baby Brownlee and Baby Kelly.
