He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Marie Sullivan and Frank Brockman "Tide" Amyx. He is survived by: his wife Frances Gwendolyn Mays Amyx; his children, Dedra Hart (Dan) of Hartsville, SC, Douglas K. Amyx (Sandi) of Greenwood, SC, Darrett Amyx (Brian Clark) of Atlanta, GA, Desiree' Jordan (Joe) of Hood River, OR, Devlin Amyx Sr. (Rene) of Greenwood, SC and Denee' Hayes (Eric) of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchildren, Mandy Dixon (Herbie) of Greenwood, SC, Chelsi Friddle (Kyle), Creighton Amyx, Sullivan Mackintosh (Keirnan Buddendeck), Davis Mackintosh, Devyn Dixon (Reid), DJ Amyx (Brittany Templeton), Elliott, Adelle and Vivian Hayes; and his sister-in-law Shirlene Theobald. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blyth Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1425 Montague Ave, Greenwood, SC 29649). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rice Memorial Baptist Church (1975 Hwy 72 W, Greenwood, SC 29649).
