He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Woodrow "Woody" McClendon, Nellie Blackwell McClendon, Clarence White and Jeanette White; and his uncle Kenneth Eugene McClendon.

He is survived by: his parents, James Woodrow and Carie White McClendon; his children, Frederick John "Freddie" McClendon, Ella Blair McClendon and Annabelle Davis McClendon; his brother Jay; his sister-in-law Crystal McClendon; his sister Elizabeth; his brother-in-law Jaryd Mitchell; his nieces and nephews, Cody, Finn, Kai McClendon, Cilla, Cora and Bennett Mitchell; the mothers of children, Kristen McClendon (family: Fred, Anna Marie Bentfeld), Kara Shaw, Kelly Rhyne and Katie Bentfeld; and his children, Checks, Countybank and Box. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
