It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cedric Elijah Wideman in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Carlton Wideman, Sr. and Dorothy Ann Settles Wideman; and his siblings, Joe Nathan Wideman, Maxine W. Jennings and Beverly W. Leverett.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristy German (Timothy) of Stockbridge, Georgia; his granddaughters, Leilani German of Stockbridge, Georgia and Isabella German of Stockbridge, Georgia; his former wife Dr. Jacquie Williams of McDonough, Georgia; his brothers, Horace C. Wideman, Jr. (Gabi) of Rhiene, Germany, Emory J. Wideman of Killeen, Elder David R. Wideman (Carrie) of Killeen and Erwin A. Wideman of Greenwood; his aunt Maude W. Singletary of Detroit, Michigan; his uncle Elder Robert Timothy Settles of Snellville, Georgia; and his sister Melanie W. Rucker of Greenwood.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh African Methodist Episcopal Church.
