He was predeceased by: his wife Valerie Nixon Johnson; his parents, Robert Lewis Johnson, Sr. and Francis McDowell Johnson; his sisters, Gladys Faye Johnson and Thelma Louise Johnson; and his son-in-law Thomas "Bucky" Seigler.
He is survived by: his close friend Sharon; his children, Tonia Thomas (Jeffery) of Georgia, Heather Atkinson (Ryan) of South Carolina and Jamie Rachels of South Carolina; his brother Joseph Scott Johnson of Joanna; his grandchildren, Thomas Daniel Seigler (Rebecca), Ethan Conner Rachels, Brayden Anderson Rachels, Hudson Atkinson and Zella Atkinson; and his great grandchildren, Thomas Brantley Seigler, Nixon Hadley Seigler and Hayden David Rachels.
His contributions to the golfing community will forever be remembered and treasured.
