He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Roscoe Garvin, Sr. and Betty Rebecca Garvin; his siblings, Bobby Garvin and Betty Newby; his children, Barry Garvin, Kelly Ashley (Kevin) and Lesley Matheson (Jon); his brother Ben Garvin (Lynn); his grandchildren, Katelyn Hall (Russell), Kristyn Melsom (Gregory), Kamryn Ashley, Karis Matheson, Thomas Matheson, Lincoln Matheson, Asher Matheson and Niomi Matheson; and his great grandchildren, Vera Kate Dixon and Jayden Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Garvin; his brother Curtis; and his sister-in-law Sue Burnett.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Blyth Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1425 Montague Ave, Greenwood, SC 29649). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel (1425 Montague Ave, Greenwood, SC 29649).
