With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann McGowan of Greenwood, South Carolina, born in Newberry, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 28, 2024 at the age of 68. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie James and Bennie Mae Williams Longshore. She is survived by: her sons, Richard Longshore (Dekeela) of Greenwood and Detric McGowan of Greenwood; and her siblings, Benjamin Longshore (Nina), Maggie Wardlaw of Greenwood, Betty Hill of Greenwood, Dorothy Hill of Greenwood, Jacqueline Thompson of Greenwood, Bertha Brown of Chappells and Vivian Longshore of Thomasville, Georgia. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
