William Clayton Dillard Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Clayton Dillard (Greenville, South Carolina), born in Six Mile, South Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, First Lieutenant William C. Dillard and Wilma Owens Dillard Cely; his stepfather John H. Cely; his grandparents, Thomas and Annie Dillard; and his sister Elaine Cely Ashley.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Knight Dillard; his children, W. Kyle Dillard of Piedmont, Dana Jones (James) of Ormond Beach, Thomas Dillard (Anh-Hoa) of Fountain Inn and William Dillard, Jr. (Aubrey) of Columbia; his siblings, John Cely (Robert Ledford) and Sandra Cely Benton (Walter); and his grandchildren, Abby, Liam, Connor, Barrett, Ava, Ryan, Jamie and Emilia.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (309 Gower St, Greenville, SC 29611). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
