It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edward Nix (Greenville, South Carolina), who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Luther Nix and Sarah Highsmith Nix; and his sister Latrelle Nix Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Betty Black Nix; his children, Edward Cassidy Nix, Kristy Nix Young (Thomas) and Katherine Nix Hinshelwood (Jonathan); his brother John Kenneth Nix (Cathy); and also, Thomas Rudolph Young V, John Wallace Young, Mattie Mae Young, Sarah Elizabeth Hinshelwood, Morris Alexander Hinshelwood and Charles Thomas Hinshelwood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
