It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma Carper Rex (Greenville, South Carolina), born in Martinsville, Illinois, who passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carper and Ruth Carper; her spouse Reu William Rex; her daughter Ruth Rex; and her sisters, Helen Patchett and Mildred Butts.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen DeGarmo (Ron) and James Rex (Debbie); and her siblings-in-law, Tom Butts and Mary Edna Rex. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
