It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Mayes (Greenville, South Carolina), who passed away on April 12, 2019, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas B. Mayes, Sr. and Ruth Poole Mayes; his siblings, Thomas Mayes, Jr. (Amelia) of Piedmont, SC, Sandra Talley (William) of Piedmont and Lisa Mayes of Greenville, SC; his uncle Ted E. Mayes of Fountain Inn, SC; and his aunts, Minnie Lee Smith of Greenville, SC, Evelyn Smith of Harvey, IL and Betty Jean Clayton of Oakland, CA. He was also cherished by two nieces, two nephews, three great-nephews and two great-nieces, sixteen first cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
