He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Clifton and Gillie Mae Quinn Raper; and his siblings, Barbara Ann Allen, Willa Lou Hedrick and George Edward Raper.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Raper of Hiwassee Dam; his daughters, Julie Ann Raper Boring (Tim) of Hiwassee Dam and Stefanie Tanner (Jason) of Blairsville, Georgia; his siblings, Nell Britt of Hiwassee Dam, Juanita Stiles of Woodstock, Sue Boring (Pat) of Hiwassee Dam, Carol Picklesimer of Murphy and Paul Quinn Raper of Doraville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Amber McDonald, Chelsea Foster, Dakota Sneed and Seth Tanner; his great grandchildren, Dax Foster and Deacon McDonald; and his pet Sam. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
