He is survived by: his wife Dianne Rigdon Gambrell; his brothers, Steve Gambrell (Cheryl) of Greenville, James Gambrell (Belinda) of Greenville, Alan Gambrell (Wanda) of Greenville and Larry Gambrell of Greenville; and his stepsiblings, Diane Gibson of Greer, Deborah Blackston, James Moore of Anderson, Keith Moore of Greenville and Bryan Parris of Blue Ridge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
