It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Young of Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Johnny Young and Birdie Mae Freeman Young; her daughter Phyllis Pickens of Greenville, SC; her brother Bobby Freeman of Greenville, SC; and her sister-in-law Nancy Young of Simpsonville, SC. She was also cherished by three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
