He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Valentine Mace and May Goodnough Mace; his children, Robert Randall "Randy" Mace and Denice Mace Fagan; his great grandchild Lane Andrew Reese; and his siblings, Frank, Joe, Max Mace, Rosalie Mace Redick and Blanche Mace Meaders.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Pitts Mace; his daughter Diane Mace Thompson (Phil); his grandchildren, Jonathan Thompson (Casey), Amy Thompson Austin (Stewart), Andrea Chassereau Melton (Justin) and Olivia Mace Ellis (John); and his great grandchildren, Mason, Morgan Thompson, Libby Anne, Campbell Austin, James Reese, Cash Melton, Johnathon, Andrew and Nina Ellis.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Downtown Chapel (639 N Main St, Greenville, SC 29601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
