He is survived by: his wife Patricia Pickell Bruns; his children, Robert Bruns, Jr. (Angie), Walter Bruns and Elizabeth Bruns Thomas; his brother John Gwinn Bruns; and his grandchildren, Maria Meetze (Don), Lauren Larymore (Scott), Virginia Noel (Matt), Kathryn Bruns, William Thomas and Emily Bruns. He is also survived by great-grand children.
