He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Barbrey and Nellie Timmons Barbrey; his brother Billy Joe Barbrey, Sr.; and his nephew Joe Barbrey. He is survived by: his wife Kelly Cox Barbrey; his stepchildren, Shane Duvall (Nina) and Joy Allen; his siblings, Betty Stretanski (Charlie), Brenda Barbrey and James Barbrey (Deborah); his niece Amanda Medlin Tuttle; and his nephew Makayla "Rose Bud" Medlin Tuttle.
