With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Young Lyons (Greenville, South Carolina), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on November 8, 2022 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Col. Jack Lyons and Elinor Lyons (Mather); and his brother Thomas G. Lyons. He is survived by: his wife Joella; his children, Erin Lyons and Jennifer Lecuyer (Ray); his grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew; his sister Elizabeth Murray-Kolb (Lyons) of Seguin; his nephew Michael Murray of San Diego; his great-nephew Roger; and also, Tabitha, Walter and Patti Hahne of Simpsonville, SC..

Donations may be made to causes near Richard's heart: The Wounded Warrior Project and The Lupus Foundation of America.
