He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Ferguson and Alver Julian Parks. He is survived by: his sister Diane Parks Cochran (Jim Redmond) of Greenville, SC.; his niece Leslie Cochran Magee of Sea Island, GA; and his nephews, John Maxcy Cochran, III of Easley, SC and Julian Parks Cochran of Durham, NC. He is also survived by five great nieces, and three great nephews.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, that a memorial gift may be made to Duke University.
