It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Allison Phinney of Greenville, South Carolina, born in Laurens, South Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leon Phinney and Rae Rhoden Phinney. He is survived by: his wife Clare Crosland Murray of Greenville; his daughter Kate Crosland Phinney of New York; and his siblings, Robert Larry Phinney of St. George and Margaret Phinney Byers (Will) of Charlotte.
