He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Charles David Helms; his sister Mary Ann Adams (Donald Coons); his grandmother Marie Helms (William Denison Taylor, III); his parents-in-law, Sonnya and Randy O'Neal; his brother-in-law T. J. McCoy; and his grandfather David Earl Helms.
