He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hamilton Buchanan and Ida Lee Batson Buchanan; and his brother Marvin Buchanan. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Buchanan and Mandy Buchanan (Tim Reardon); his stepchildren, Mandy Dorn, Lenda Jordan and Julie Jordan; his grandchildren, Davis, Caroline Reardon and Charlotte Huntley; his nephew Sean Bryan; his niece Debbi Gorby; and his friends, Buddy, Janet Jennings and Betty Sizemore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caine Halter YMCA/YMCA of Greenville.
