He was predeceased by: his father James Paul Schlimgen. He is survived by: his mother Mary Helen Avila; his wife Jeanette; his son Paul David; and his brothers, James T. Schlimgen (Denise) and Gabriel M. Avila (Wendy). He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
