She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandson Austin Whetsell of Lexington; her former husband Gene Whetsell of Walterboro; her brother-in-law Butch Looper of Bowman; her parents, Harold O'Cain and Dorothy O'Cain of Orangeburg; her children, Deryl Paradis (Gerry) of Greenville, Terri Johnk (Fritz) of Hornick, IA and Walter Gene Whetsell, Jr. (Kim) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Maronn, Hans (Kim), Gabe Johnk, Taylor, Walter Gene III (Caitlyn) and Emma Whetsell; her great grandchildren, Sawyer, Bailey, Myka, Eli Maronn, Ada Mae and Mina Jo Johnk; her siblings, Jim O'Cain (Dixie) of Bowman, Jerry O'Cain of Chapin and Kaye O'Cain Reid of Spartanburg; and her siblings-in-law, Gwen Whetsell Looper of Bowman and Ashley Whetsell (Darla) of Columbia.
