Patricia C. Andrews Obituary
Patricia "Pat" C. Andrews, 84, loving wife of 49 years to the late Homer Andrews, entered her eternal home on Friday, March 7, 2025 after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Lura Tesnear Chapman.
Pat was known for her sassy spirit and unwavering stubbornness; when she set her mind to something, there was no stopping her. She found great joy in baking, creating the most delectable chocolate and pound cakes that will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of enjoying them.
An avid fan of Clemson University, Pat proudly cheered on the Tigers with boundless enthusiasm. She took delight in watching her favorite television shows, including "Dancing with the Stars," "The Masked Singer," "American Idol," and the heartwarming and thrilling movies on Hallmark and Lifetime Channels. Her love for life and fun was infectious, and her laughter could light up any room.
Lura shared a special bond with her sister, Jean Whitlock, having become even closer after both endured the loss of their husbands just six months apart. Where you found one, you often found the other; supporting each other through life's ups and downs.
As a devoted and faithful member of Roper Mountain Baptist Church, Pat's faith was at the heart of everything she did. She volunteered her time, caring for children in the nursery at the daycare, serving as a loving presence in the community.
Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her son, William "Bill" Andrews and wife, Mandy; two precious grandsons, Matthew and Hunter Andrews; her sister, Jean Whitlock; nephew, Jaimie Whitlock; and cousin, Michael Dozier.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Chapman; sister, Shirley Cooper (Cliff); and brother-in-law, Garland Whitlock.
A service to honor and reflect on Pat's life will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
