She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clyde McMahan, Sr. and Mildred Lucille McMahan (Kilby); her grandson Zachary Bettis; and her siblings, J. C. McMahan, Jerry McMahan, Doug McMahan, Mary Ellen Childress, Nancy Cobb and Sandra Lambert.

She is survived by: her daughter Angela M. Burns (Todd) of Travelers Rest; her granddaughter Macayla Bettis; and her stepgrandson Stephen Burns. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
