It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Simmons of Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Burgess and Mairie Burgess; and her husband Dencil Simmons. She is survived by: her children, Dale Simmons, Juanita Barker, Yvonne Ellis, Marie Simmons, Jackie Childs and Gina Satterfield; her siblings, Sammy Burgess, Kathy McCarter, JoAnn Carter and Jerry Burgess; her grandchildren, Talena Holder, Michael V. Ellis, Stormie Satterfield, Logan Satterfield, Carson Satterfield, Heather Huffman, Brandy Hudson and John Luke Barker; and her great grandchildren, Alaina Simmons, Avery Simmons, Shailey Holder and Lainey Holder.
