With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy J. Freeman (Greenville, South Carolina), who passed away on July 10, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Zachary Jones and Inez Smith Jones; her husband Dr. William Shuford Freeman; and her siblings, Zed Jones, Rachel Gault, Champ Jones, Martha Garrett and Emory Jones.
She is survived by: her brother Joe Jones of Pendleton, SC; her sons, Dr. Lawrence W. Freeman (Ann), Robert A. Freeman (Heidi) and Dr. Ned D. Freeman (Karin); her grandchildren, Scott Freeman, Zach Freeman (Lee), Richard Freeman (Crissy), Elise Kilgore (Geoffrey), Anna Ashmore (Sam) and Sara Stanko (Caleb); and her great grandchildren, Cooper Freeman, Charlie Freeman, Reynolds Freeman, George Freeman, Jamison Freeman, Sam Freeman, Reeves Ashmore and Tripp Kilgore.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
