We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2021, at the age of 63, Michael King Burgess of Greenville, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Julian Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Richardson; his mother Barbara Burgess; his brothers, Joe Burgess (Amy) and Sam Burgess (Gilian); and his niece Chelsea.

The family has requested that everyone wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to Concerned Citizens for Animals.
