It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Rebecca Austin Wylie in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rebecca DeHay Austin and Willis W. Austin; her husband Jerome Turner Wylie (Jerry) of Blacksburg, SC.; her siblings, Margie Austin Gibson, Genevieve Austin, Hugo Austin, Jervey Austin and Willis Austin; and her sister-in-law Fran Austin.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Austin Wylie (Amy); her grandchildren, Justin (Allison), Jacob, Morgan and Scott; her great grandchild Julie (Brian); her siblings-in-law, Barbara Austin, Julia Wylie Bumgarner, Margie Wylie, Richard Gibson and Jim Wylie; and also, Haley, Katherine and Thomas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
