He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Marvin Compton, Sr. and Thelma Pearl Owens Compton. He is survived by: his wife Judy Compton; his sons, Paul Marvin Compton, III (Dana) of Texas and George Michael Compton (Mindy) of Greer; his grandchildren, Chandler Anne Compton Wendel (Tim), Harrison Evan Compton (Gabrelle), Richard Cole Compton, Kenzy Lee Compton, Ashlyn Kathleen Compton and Falon Michal Compton; his great grandchildren, Evan Allen Compton, Jordan Logan Wendel and Walker Michael Wendel; his siblings, Judith Green (Michael) of Conway, SC and Kenneth E. Compton (Kaye) of Sullivans Island, SC.; and his close friend Tony Henley.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church (717 Buncombe St, Greenville, SC 29601). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (1 Pine Knoll Dr, Greenville, SC 29609).
