She was predeceased by: her parents, Bayse Penland and Alva Henson Penland; her daughter Shelia Stewart; and her siblings, Kate Crawford, Neal Penland, Stanley Penland and Howard Penland.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Parris; her children, Donna Shores (Wayne), Bruce Parris (Joni) and Robert Parris, Jr. (Maureen); her grandchildren, Matthew (Shelley), Justin (Shannon), Shannon (Josh), Nicholas, Ben, Daniel (Jordan), Katie (Josh), Aaron (Zac), Rebekah (Nate) and Sarah (Ken); and her brother Pete Penland. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
