He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Green and Ida Mae Perkins Green; his wife Ella Mae Marchbanks Green; his daughter Janie Green; his grandson Lloyd Green III; and his great grandchild Anne Catherine Kinerney.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Mitchell (John), Sam Green, Jr. (late Margaret) and Sara Green (Doris Dalton). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Green to Mauldin United Methodist Church (building fund), 100 East Butler Road, Mauldin, SC or to Shriners Hospital, 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC.
