She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Brown and Floye Turner Brown. She is survived by: her husband John W. Thompson; her sons, Jason Thompson (Jessica) and Chris Thompson; her grandchildren, Erica, Harper and Caleb Thompson; and her brother Mike Brown (Debbie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parisview Baptist Church, 100 Bud St, Greenville, SC 29617.
