It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Elam Alderman Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina, born in Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Elam Alderman, Sr. and Zettie Mae England Alderman; and his sister Ann Alderman Jahncke. He is survived by: his wife Susan Beckwith Alderman; his daughter Eliza Preston Alderman; his brother-in-law Stanton Jahncke of New Orleans, Louisiana; and his niece Elizabeth Jahncke of Cape Town.
