He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Leon Padilla and Mercedes Palacios; and his wife Justina A Padilla. He is survived by: his children, Eduardo M Padilla, Jose L Padilla, Cruz R Padilla and Eusebia Rosemond. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and nine nieces and nephews.
