He is survived by: his children, Theodore Bowen, Gene Bowen, Brenda Bowen and Margie Drummond; and his siblings, Sammy McGowan of Laurens, SC, Rufus McGowan of Greensboro, Alice McGowan of Greenville, SC and Barbanell McGowan of Greensboro, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends.
