He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Abercrombie and Nancy G. Abercrombie. He is survived by: his wife Ruth J. Abercrombie; his child Jeannée Johnson of Mauldin; and his grandchildren, Christian Trimmier of Charlotte, John Abercrombie IV of Chandler, Mackenzie Johnson of Charlotte, James Abercrombie of Washington, D. C., Benjamin Abercrombie of Camp Casey, Korea, Mary Ruth Abercrombie (Ruthie) of Stanley and Virginia.
