He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Madden and Sarah Sullivan Madden. He is survived by: his children, Joe Alton Madden, James A. Madden, Toney Madden (Debra), Darrol Madden (Karen), Barbara Harrison and Sharon Butler (Horace); and his siblings, Bobby Madden (Mildred), Robert Madden (Della), Annie Sullivan and Sally Bryson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great –grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren.
